I am a professional counsellor with a passion for assisting people during times of life transitions, grief or loss.
Whether you are starting a new career path, becoming a parent for the first time, in the throws of a relationship break-up, or planning for retirement, major life changes can be overwhelming and confusing even if they are anticipated.
I specialize in this area because I believe examining and understanding our own potentially limiting narrative allows us to more effectively open up new possibilities. It gives us renewed energy, inner strength, and a sense of empowerment.
I hold an MA in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (#11288). I have been in private practice since 2014, working with individuals one-on-one and in the context of group therapy.
I incorporate therapies that are evidenced-based, effective vehicles for change such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-based practices.
I use these various styles of therapy to tailor sessions to meet my client’s specific needs and goals.
My work teaches me that even when it feels like there is no hope, it is still possible to find purpose and meaning within ourselves, even years after difficulties have occurred. I believe in people’s innate yet often untapped reserves of inner-strength and adaptability.
